You were created first in the mind of God. Now you and he are working to form you into the reality of what he wants for you. What he wants for you is always better than what you could want for your self. Living by his philosophy is freedom. Freedom is hard to attain without faith. Faith without a reason is baseless. Reason however is something that comes to you, not something you attain.Faith is the substance by which freedom is attained. You must have a certainty that THIS WAY is the way, you must walk in it, even though you are skeptical.
Philosophy is a word used to describe various logical methods of observing phenomena. There are various "schools" of philosophy. The first schools of philosophical thought were concerned with the existence of God, and the place of Man in the world. These thinkers lived from as far back as Pre-dynastic Egypt in civilization of Maa. Maa civilization was the mother civilization of "Kush" and Egypt. According to the philosopher, Plato, many early Greek philosophers first went to Egypt to study the mysteries of philosophy. Consequently, they brought back a more rational system on how best to order and regulate society and passions. The schools of philosophy today include the Teleological, Ontological, Epistemological. Logic, Existential, and a many others. These are methods by which philosophers "observe" and study phenomena.
Theology, which is the study of God and faith is considered by most as not a part of the school of Philosophy.
Faith, is the conviction of knowledge of some reality by the use of other faculties not necessarily developed in all persons. For example, it would be difficult to prove Gods existence to anyone even though I am absolutely sure of his existence. The method by which I arrived at my perception of Him is called faith. It is actually a mental faculty not fully developed in some of the greatest known philosophers. The faculty of faith does not necessarily require much exertion in attainment. However, how exactly it is attained is yet a mystery to our sciences.
